FAQ
MoreLess
Short answers, in the order people actually ask them.
What exactly is SCANLINES?
2,222 generative NFTs, each representing one of the top 2,222 crypto tokens by market cap, displaying that token's real ATH/ATL data.
Why exactly 2,222?
The supply matches the exact number of tokens the collection tracks. One NFT per real token, no more, no less.
How much does it cost to mint?
Free.
Where do I mint?
On OpenSea.
Which chain is this on?
Robinhood Chain.
How is my monitor matched to a token?
At reveal, you're matched to one of the top 2,222 tokens by market cap.
How often does the data update?
Weekly. The artwork's metadata is refreshed against a public market data API, so the figures on your monitor are rewritten in place.
When does the week start?
Monday 00:00 UTC. Every scan window runs Monday to Monday in UTC, so the result is the same for everyone regardless of timezone.
When does $SCAN launch?
One to two weeks after the mint. Snapshots are still taken during that gap, so nothing is lost. Those weeks are settled in the first payout.
How does the Weekly Scan decide winners?
Three categories: New ATH, New ATL, Rank Jump. Only tokens trading above a minimum volume are eligible, which keeps out the noise and the cheap manipulation.
Can the outcome be influenced?
No. These are objective market facts, not something the team or holders decide.
What is $SCAN?
The project's native token, used to pay weekly rewards and staking yield.
How much $SCAN does the team hold?
Zero.
Where does $SCAN liquidity come from?
Secondary-sale royalties from the NFT collection.
Is this financial advice?
No. SCANLINES makes no claims of guaranteed returns, ownership, or investment profit. Rewards are simply holder rewards.
Why is there a game on the Start page?
A place on the allowlist should cost something, and a minute of Snake is the friendliest price we could think of. Your score is worked out on the server, so it is a real score. Each record is good for one address. It is not a CAPTCHA, and nothing about you is sent anywhere.
Why do you want my X handle?
By hand, against the handle you register, before the allowlist is finalised. One place per account, same as one place per wallet.
How does staking work?
Lock $SCAN for a period. The longer the lock, the higher the yield. It has nothing to do with the Weekly Scan.
Can my monitor change over time?
Yes. If its token falls out of the top 2,222, the monitor enters a "Relic" visual state.
Where can I buy or sell?
OpenSea (Robinhood Chain collections are supported).
